Lauren Garbutt

In October 2017, I started a 4 year PhD under the supervision of Dr Robert Dallmann and Prof. Nick Dale and am currently in my first year. 

I graduated from Warwick in July 2017 with a BSc(Hons) in Biomedical Science with Intercalated Year after having spent a year studying abroad at McMaster University, Canada. During my degree, I carried out neuroscience research projects in the Frenguelli Lab (2nd Year, URSS), Dale Lab (3rd Year Research project) and the Dallmann Lab (3rd Year Summer Project).

I am currently investigating how connections between the lateral hypothalamus and the suprachiasmatic nuclei are capable of orchestrating non-photic entrainment of the circadian clock in mice.
